Girls Trip to Italy: The Amalfi Coast

What better way to spend three nights with your best girlfriends than a trip to the Amalfi Coast? It was, as my friends say, a dream for any woman.
We spent three spectacular nights at the lovely Casa Angelina in Praino. The service was on point and although most of the guests were couples, we had no problem settling in and feeling comfortable. The three of us shared a canopy room in which a chilled bottle of prosecco greeted us upon arrival. Nice touch.
We hired a driver to take us to Ravello and we spent time touring the gorgeous villas, gardens, and charming town. We walked out to the awe inspiring Terrace of the Infinite at Villa Cimbrone and found, what else but a champagne and prosecco bar that seemed to appear as if in a dream. It was the best money I have ever spent on a glass of bubbly.
After having spoken with Lauren of Cooking Vacations for years now, I was finally able to take one of her classes. We were lucky enough to have a private class with the chef and owner of Casa Mele. The four hours that we spent with him in the kitchen of his new restaurant flew by. We were able to not only learn techniques for our own cooking, but we had a front row seat to watch the kitchen prep for the evening menu. It was, without question, the best cooking class I have ever had.
Perhaps no trip to the Amalfi Coast is complete without a visit to Capri. We took a jet boat over in the late morning thinking that 4 or 5 hours was enough time to explore and come back. We were clearly wrong as we missed our return boat to Positano and had to buy new tickets home with a different company. Worth it.
The morning of our last day we went for a swim in the clear blue waters and giggled like school children. It was…magical.
Thinking about a trip to the Amalfi Coast? I can confidently say that you should absolutely go. Not one person that I met while there was without a smile on their face. It would be a pleasure to help put a smile on your face by booking this trip for you.
